Fishing at Oregon Inlet, NC Report posted by Capt. Lindsay Fuller of the June Bug on 5/12/08
The catch out of Oregon Inlet changed substantially in the last week. A week ago Saturday through last Tuesday had Blue Marlin as the fish of the day. Over 50 were released in that 4 day period. This weekend, the Blue Marlin disappeared but were replaced by Big Eye Tuna. Several dozen of them were caught on Saturday including 7 by one boat and 5 by another. There were plenty of gaffer dolphin as well along with a decent catch of school Yellowfin tunas. We plan to bring June Bug back to New Jersey for the summer season after next weekend's fishing at Oregon Inlet. There are plenty of good dates left. Remember that charter fishing is cheaper than fishing your own boat and you only pay when you go. Capt. Lindsay Fuller Cell 609-685-2839
