Spring is here! Report posted by Capt. Lindsay Fuller of the June Bug on 4/18/08 June Bug is back in the water after her spring maintenance. The Spencer Yacht yard in Wanchese, NC did a superb job. She will fish at Oregon Inlet for the next several weeks and then return to New Jersey for the summer season. Nice Bluefin Tuna from 75 to 150 pounds are being caught in some quantity at Oregon Inlet now. Unfortunately, you can only keep one Medium and one School Bluefin each day. The Yellowfin fishing has dropped off for the moment. The Striped Bass have started moving north. There are huge clouds of birds working over the schools of Blues and Stripers all along the ocean side of the Eastern Shore out to 20 miles or so. These fish will be off New Jersey in another week or two. It has been a long winter but the warm weather is right around the corner. Start thinking about the fishing trips you want to make this year and call us at 609-685-2839 to discuss. Capt. Lindsay Fuller |
