Dear Fisherman,

 

It has finally happened; Capt. Fran has caught the first striper for the 2007 fall season.  The water temp is now below 60 degrees and the striper fishing is starting to come alive.  This past weekend has been the first weekend where we have had a number of fish being caught.  Capt. Fran brought in a 33" striper that tipped that scale at 15 pounds.  This is just the start of the season.  The quantity and the size of the striper should only increase with the colder weather coming to Little Egg Inlet.  Temps this week should not get above 55 Degrees and that means that water temps will stay below the 60 degree mark and the migration of striper from the north should be on its way.  If you were think about a striper trip to Little Egg Inlet that his is the time to book the date.
