Memorial Day
Capt Fran was out fluke fishing on The Drop Off in the flats of the Great Bay area. The numbers of fluke that were caught was around 15 fishing (I stopped counting after 10 shorts) but the keepers were only two. Both fish were well over the 17 inch mark. The water has been so clear that you are able to see the fishing swimming on the bottom. They are feeding on the grass shrimp. Once again if you put the time in you can limit out on fluke. This trip was a 4 hour trip and do bring bug spray the gnats are bad at times. I will be running an open bay trip on Thursday 31, please call if you would like a spot on the boat.
