Fishing report 5/20/2007
Report posted by Capt. Fran Verdi of the The Drop Off on 5/20/07

Today’s fishing was in the Little Egg Inlet. Winds were blowing; water temp was a cool 57 degrees. The blue fish were all over the inlet and the birds showed you where to find them. The stripers were not being found but 28 dog sharks ate well. If you were not chasing the birds it was shark after shark after shark. (Sizes were from 2 feet to 4 feet) The word over the vhf was that the bunker pots were not to found at the southern end of LBI as of yet. But they should be here soon. Cow stripers should be following the bunker and fluke season will be starting this week end. Capt Fran still has open date for both Cousins and The Drop Off for the month of June.
