Inshore fishing
Report posted by capt. bob gerkens of the Hot Tuna on 8/11/06
On Wednesday 9 August did an inshore trip with the Jim Rotero charter. Started in the bay where most of the week there was a good fluke bite, but with the tide and wind going opposite directions could not get a decent drift. We then moved out to the Little Egg Reef and got considerable action on the fluke bite. Must have thrown back 30 undersized fluke for the 3 we kept. Trolled north to the Garden State reef and picked up a bonito. Nothing happened on the GSR so trolled inshore and picked up 6 small bluefish before heading in for the day.
